It was revealed during the PlayStation 5 reveal event on June 11, 2020, and was released on March 4, 2022 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, making it the series’ first multi-console entry.

The game uses the PS5’s improved processing capabilities, dedicated ray-tracing hardware, custom solid-state drive storage, Tempest Engine, and DualSense controller to support features like advanced haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, real-time ray tracing features during replays, 3D spatial audio, and faster loading times. Gran Turismo 7 on PlayStation 5 also has 4K resolution and 60 frames per second, as well as compatibility for high dynamic range.

On PS5 Pro, Gran Turismo 7 delivers ray traced reflections on both car exteriors and interiors during gameplay along with PSSR AI upscaling technology to deliver crisp image quality and more realistic graphics at 60 fps.

Sony Interactive Entertainment will no longer be porting Bluepoint Games’ Demon’s Souls remake and Polyphony Digital ‘s Gran Turismo 7 over to PC, based on a new rumor.

The admin of gaming enthusiast forum IconEra has been informed via a trusted source that PC ports of the Demon’s Souls remake and Gran Turismo 7 are no longer in development at Sony Interactive Entertainment.

Demon's souls gran turismo 7 pc

The source claims that Demons Souls is currently not being ported to PC, and that it may never see the light of day on the platform. As for Gran Turismo 7, it was claimed that a PC port was in development, but it was shelved due to unknown reason.

The IconEra admin did clarify, however, that this is not an indication of Sony Interactive Entertainment looking to back out of its PC plans. That said, his mention of these plans being a “50/50” situation suggests that not all first-party PS5 titles will receive PC ports. This is certainly true thus far, with both Demon’s Souls and Gran Turismo being a no-show on the platform, despite both being on the leaked NVIDIA GeForce database of titles. However, times change and so do plans. Given its integral use of the DualSense controller and its association with PlayStation’s 30-year legacy, it’s possible that Game of the Year 2024 winner Astro Bot may not arrive on PC either. Only time will tell whether that’s the case, however.

Demon's souls gran turismo 7 pc

It’s worth noting that the PlayStation titles that have received PC ports thus far all run on game engines that are already up and running on PC. The porting initiative began with Horizon Zero Dawn, which runs on Guerrilla Games’ Decima engine. Thanks to the PC version of Kojima Productions’ Death Stranding, the engine had already been configured to run on the platform. Nixxes Software and its experience with PC ports proved useful in getting Insomniac Games and Sucker Punch’s in-house game engines up and running on the platform. Meanwhile, Iron Galaxy Studios struggled with the PC port of The Last of Us remake, as it was the first time a game running on Naughty Dog’s in-house engine was ported to the platform. There’s hope that the PC version of The Last of Us Part 2 will be in a better state at launch.

Demon’s Souls and Gran Turismo 7 run on Bluepoint Games and Polyphony Digital’s proprietary game engines. While Nixxes Software could have ported the Demon’s Souls remake to PC, it’s unlikely that Polyphony Digital would have let another development team handle a port of Gran Turismo 7. Given how the Gran Turismo developer has its hands full supporting the latest entry with regular updates and new content, and possibly even the development of Gran Turismo 8, it’s unlikely for it to have enough resources to work on a PC port.

Improvements and Adjustments:

Car Related:

  • Unable to Apply Styles Created with Certain Cars:
    • Affected Cars:
      • Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept
      • BVLGARI Aluminium Vision Gran Turismo

Temporary Solutions:

  • Refrain from applying Styles saved using the affected cars distributed on January 25, 2024.
  • Only edit and save Styles with cars redistributed on January 30, 2024, or those bought in Brand Central.
  • To avoid confusion in the Garage, delete cars redeemed with the Car Tickets distributed on January 25, 2024, and Styles created with those vehicles.

  • In the Lobby, players in the same room may not appear on the member list or during the race, causing an application error when the host starts the race.
  • In the Lobby, there have been cases where completing a race would not let users progress further.

GT7 was developed by Polyphony Digital and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. The game is the eighth chapter in the mainline Gran Turismo series.

One of the previous major updates added PSVR2 support to the game. It can be played in VR mode using both DualSense controller.

Gran Turismo 7 gets a quick hotfix with patch 1.47 which was released today. It appears to address some minor issues.

There were two significant fixes in the latest update. The first fix addresses a problem where players could modify their car settings even when such modifications were not allowed by event regulations. This issue has been resolved in the update, ensuring that players follow the specified regulations during events.

The second fix addresses an issue where certain wheels could not be equipped on the Lexus LFA ’10 after the installation of Update 1.46. This problem has been fixed, and players can now equip wheels on the Lexus LFA ’10 without any issues.

2. Cars

  • We addressed an issue in which some wheels could not be equipped on the following cars after Update 1.46 was installed:
    • Lexus LFA ’10

If you were having issues with these problems, they should be resolved now. You will need to update to the latest version of Gran Turismo 7, which currently is patch 1.47. Details on the update are taken from the official website.

Polyphony Digital has added tons of new content to the game since it launched almost two years ago. Most of the content was released in the form of new cars but they have also added new gameplay modes, tracks, and quality-of-life improvements.

The update should be available for both PS4 and PS5 users, but keep in mind that Sony has stopped supporting the PS4 version and their focus has shifted to PS5 and PSVR 2 versions.

GT7 is one of the rare first-party games that also supports PSVR 2. It was released as a part of a free update last year when Sony had released PSVR 2. The game is available for PS4 and PS5.
